The diamond coating provides the hardness to penetrate brittle materials cleanly – where standard HSS or carbide bits would chip or crack the workpiece. At 1.5mm, this bit bridges the gap between the ultra-fine 1.0mm and the larger 3.2mm ball bit, making it ideal for slightly larger precision holes in tile, glass, and stone.
