Collection: Stone Fabrication Blades for Granite, Marble & Quartz

Professional diamond blades engineered for cutting granite, marble, quartz, and engineered stone. Whether you’re working on countertops, cladding, flooring, or custom stone fabrication, this collection covers every blade type and diameter needed for clean, precise cuts with minimal chipping and maximum blade life.

Stone Fabrication Blade Types

  • Wet Continuous Rim Blades — The cleanest edge available for marble, sandstone, and softer stone. Run with continuous water on a tile saw or masonry saw for chip-free finish cuts on visible surfaces.
  • Turbo Blades (Wet or Dry) — Fast cutting on granite and hard stone with good edge quality. Compatible with angle grinders for jobsite fabrication where a wet saw isn’t available.
  • Segmented Blades — Aggressive cutting for rough shaping, thick granite slabs, and hard engineered stone. Best for material removal where finish quality is secondary.
  • Large Diameter Blades (180mm–300mm+) — For bridge saws and large-format masonry saws handling full slabs, countertop blanks, and production fabrication.

How to Choose the Right Stone Fabrication Blade

Material hardness and the desired finish are the two biggest factors. Use our Diamond Blade Selection Guide to match by stone type, tool, and cutting method.

  • Granite & hard quartz: Requires a blade with a softer bond to expose fresh diamond as the hard material wears the segment — turbo or segmented blades work best.
  • Marble & softer stone: Use a harder bond continuous rim blade for chip-free edges — softer stone won’t wear the segment fast enough on a soft-bond blade.
  • Engineered stone (Silestone, Caesarstone): Treat like hard quartz — use a blade rated for engineered stone to avoid premature glazing.
  • Wet vs. dry: Wet cutting is strongly preferred for stone fabrication — it extends blade life significantly, reduces silica dust, and produces cleaner edges.
  • Countertop cutouts: Use a smaller diameter blade or a core drill bit for sink and fixture cutouts — see our core drill bit collection.

Distar stone fabrication blades are manufactured to professional tolerances and rated for sustained production use — built for fabricators who cut stone every day. Pair with diamond grinding cups and polishing pads to take your slabs from rough cut to finished surface.

Frequently Asked Questions

What diamond blade is best for cutting granite?

Granite is one of the hardest natural stones, so it requires a blade with a soft bond that exposes fresh diamond grit as the hard material wears the segment. A turbo or segmented blade rated for granite is the right choice — avoid hard-bond blades designed for softer materials, as they will glaze over quickly.

Can I cut quartz countertops with a diamond blade?

Yes — engineered quartz (Silestone, Caesarstone, etc.) can be cut with a diamond blade, but it’s abrasive and hard on segments. Use a blade specifically rated for engineered stone or hard quartz, always with water cooling, and at a controlled feed rate to avoid overheating.

Should I cut stone wet or dry?

Wet cutting is strongly recommended for stone fabrication. Water cools the blade, dramatically extends blade life, suppresses silica dust (a serious health hazard), and produces cleaner edges. Dry cutting stone is possible with the right blade but should be limited to short cuts with adequate breaks to prevent overheating.

What blade do I use for marble?

Marble is softer and more brittle than granite, so chip-free edge quality is the priority. A continuous rim blade with a harder bond is ideal — it maintains contact with the material without over-exposing the diamond grit. Always cut wet for the cleanest results on polished marble surfaces.
